Another Solar Observing Solution

Mπορούμε να χρησιμοποιήσουμε ένα φύλλο "styrofoam" (ή παρόμοιο) και απλά το τοποθετούμε στο μπροστινό μέρος του τηλεσκοπίου.

I picked up a piece of black foamboard some years back for the exact same purpose. It is an effective way to block the sun while it allows one to observe the sun in the shade.

Yup this works great !!

I use something similar however I mount it near the focuser side of the tube so at least my eyes and head are in the shade at alll times.

Although I found the Solar Tent Option easier for observing the Solar surface not to mention more comfortable and cooler, this foamboard solution is perhaps the easiest and most portable.

This Foamboard solution should be considered as a minimum requirement. There is no reason for any observer to roast in the sun for prolonged periods of time when there are other more comfortable options available.
